Aayaam - A Theatre Workshop By Sutradhar: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR AAYAAM - A THEATRE...

Sutradhar School Of Acting is organizing a 4-day part-time theater workshop on physical movements called Aayaam (Dimension) from 14th July to 17th July, at its premises in Himayatnagar. The workshop will benefit actors, directors, artists, choreographers, designers, and all those involved in creative work.

The workshop will be conducted by Parnab Mukherjee, a media analyst, workshop facilitator and creative mentor. He divides his time between Delhi, Kolkata and the Darjeeling hills. Currently a consultant with a publishing journal, Parnab has earlier worked for a sports fortnightly, an English daily and a Bengali daily. He is an acclaimed authority on Badal Sircar's theater.

The workshop has flexi-timings so as to facilitate interested working people who want to take this up. A maximum of 10 will be admitted. Other vacancies are reserved for those who have already done a workshop with Sutradhar. The fee for this workshop is Rs. 1,000 per head.

This body-language workshop will end in a play "The Otherness Of The Body", based on poems of the Late Cherabandaraju, a revolutionary poet of Andhra Pradesh, on the evening of 17th July.
