PREVIEW FOR SRAVANA SANDHYA - ANNAMACHARYA SANKEERTANAS
The way to the Lord's heart is through his kids, these people believe. And since
God appears to favor young at mind more than young at heart, arguments that all
of us are the kids of God have been set aside and this one will only have children.
Honestly, isn't that welocome?
Little Musicians and the Annamacharya Mission are jointly organizing the chanting
of Annamacharya's Sankeertanas on the 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th of this month.
The young artists participating in the program are primarily from the Little Musicians
organization, a music school that trains aspiring musicians below the age of 15.
It is today providing them a chance and a platform to display their talent here,
in co-operation with the Annamacharya Mission.
Young singers from Little Scholars will render the sankeertanas on all days, and
on the last day a group of children from the Annamacharya Mission will also sing
The reason behind organizing this program is that this is the auspicious month
of Sravan when major pujas take place. Besides the keertanas, a brief lecture
on the importance and the meaning of each keertana will also be given. The organizers
will also supply booklets containing the keertanas in print. And the audience
can join the singing too.
