Money, money, money it is, and it is not at all funny in the bankers' world.
So here're the professionals of borrowing and lending stealing some good time.
And for all the kids in college, here's the moral - fun for the professionals
is a formal planned occurrence and happens once a year.
The Union Bank of India Cultural And Sports Association is celebrating its 22nd
anniversary, with lots of cultural events for the families of its employees.
The day's program will start with a Punjabi Bhangda dance choreographed by Rishi
Raj and performed by Rajashekar, Narsing Rao, Prem Kumar, Bhaskar, Srinivas,
Giridhar, B V Bala Krishna and Nagesh Kumar.
A Telugu playlet titled "Bank Of This Thing", written by K V Gnana Kumar, Manager,
will follow. This is a humorous item about a forgetful bank manager in a rural
bank who often loses memory of his employees' names and calls them in various
other ways - Mr Balancing for Balbir Singh, Mr Seven Hills for Edukondalu etc.
And instead of asking his clerks for specific things like the trial balance
register or the balance sheet book, he asks for 'this thing and this thing'.
Yet another humorous playlet in Hindi called "Doctor Saab… Doctor Saab" will
follow. This one portrays an absent-minded doctor performing an operation on
a patient. The patient later realizes that the operation performed on him was
on the wrong side, and argues with the doctor. The conversation between the
two goes on comically. The artists here are Ramesh and Gayasuddin.
At the end, there will be film and folk songs. To entertain the audiences, G
S B M Jagdishwar Rao will crack jokes in the breaks.
Vandematharam Sreenivas will be chief guest on the evening, and will give away
a special award for the best performing artist in the cultural programs.
