When you're immersed, an Annamacharya kriti can make you feel like it's a cool, breezy evening when there is the smell of mud in the air. And sometimes, like this evening, you need not even be immersed.
Shilparamam, as part of its weekly programs of music, is organising a flute recital by Manda Anantha Krishna, on 15th October. Krishna, along with Ramaraju Dinakar on the violin and Ramachandran on the mridangam, will start the evening with a Vathapi Ganapathim, followed by Endaro Mahanubhavulu, Raghuvamsa Sudha, Saamaja Varagamana and a couple of Annamacharya kritis.
Anantha Krishna initially learnt music from his father Late Manda Balarama Sarma, and is currently under Padmasri Dr N Ramani. He has a diploma in music from Bhakta Ramadasu Government College of Music and Dance, Secunderabad, and is a B-High grade artiste of the AIR. He has performed all over India, and also in Bangkok and Syria.
