Kala Ravali is organising the Sankranthi Bhakti Sangeetotsav from 9th to 11th January, at the open auditorium of City Central Library in Chikkadpally. Today, the 2nd day, Tirumala Devi will present some hit cine devotional songs from renowned Telugu movies. She will be supported by Brahmanandam on the keyboard and Nagaraju on the tabla.
Tirumala Devi will be singing the following songs:

Tirumala Devi worked as a scientist at the National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA) for a period of 16 years. Inspite of her work obligations, she gained a very good knowledge in music, be it Carnatic vocal, light music or Hindustani classical. She learnt Carnatic music from Padmavibhushan Dr M Balamurali Krishna and D V Mohan Krishna, light music from M Chittaranjan, and Hindustani classical from Ram Subbamma. She has a P G Diploma in Light Music from the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, and is currently doing her 2nd year in music studies from Madras University.
She has given over 200 concerts at many temples including those in Mantralayam, Srisailam, Nandigama, TTD Hyderabad, Vargal, Chilukur, Keesara, Vemulavada, Sanghinagar, Indalvai, Satyasala and Yadagirigutta. She is a recipient of the National Merit Scholarship at P G Academic Excellence, and has won several prizes in light music.
Kala Ravali was started in 1997 by S Sai Kumar, who is a renowned TV and theater artiste since the last 29 years. He has worked for Yuvakalavahini since 1982, performing for various theater plays with another eminent artiste Y K Nageshwar Rao. Along with Nageswara Rao, he has acted in some very popular plays like Vivekananda, Subash Chandra Bose and Gautham Buddha.
He has the sole distinction of receiving an appreciation certificate from the Government of India for raising and donating one lakh rupees to the Southern Command, AOC Centre, towards the Kargil Martyrs Fund, by organising grand music concerts at Ravindra Bharati. The cultural association has felicitated various theater and literary personalities.
