The greatest way to realize the value of independence is also the most expensive. It is to lose it. From that perspective, Rs. 100 should appear pretty much acceptable. Especially since these are professionals you are paying.
Rang Manch was formed in 1997 by husband-wife duo Manish and Ambica Jain, lovers of music and dance both. In fact, it was their interest in dance that brought them together. At Rang Manch they teach both Indian folk and Western dances, and instrumental music comprising jazz, keyboard guitar and Congo.
On the event of the Independence Day, the artists of Rang Manch will present a musical dance drama called '1947 Aazadi' (a short story to help witness history). The story of this musical dance drama will cover the major events in Indian history that took place between 1600AD and 1947AD. In short, this play will cover the British Raj's rule over India - the revolution of Jhansi Rani, Maharana Pratap's reign, the 1880 Ganapati procession by Bal Gangadhar Tilak supported by Lala Lajpat Roy, the 1885 Indian National Congress formation, Subhash Chandra Bose's famous saying 'Tum Mujhe Khoon Do, Mai Tume Aazadi Doonga', the Home Rule Movement, the era of Mahatma Gandhi and Moulana Abul Kalaam Azad, the Quit India movement, the Dandi March and the 1947 Independence.
