Take the number of times that you've heard the phrase East meets West and you'll probably get the population of India. In the next line our nation will add another one to its population (not like that actually requires any effort from our end). Here goes - East meets West.
The East plans to meet the West half way in a beautiful, inseparable blend at the Fusion Music night at Taramati Baradari. The concert is titled Unwind, and it combines various sounds of instruments, both Indian and Western. The sounds include those of the flute, the drums, the tabla, the mandolin, the guitar and the tenor banjo. The players are Rupak Kulkarni, Mukul Dongre, Kalinath Mishra, Pradeep Sen Gupta and Amit Roy respectively.
Also chalked out for the evening is a thematic portrayal of Kathak, by one of the country's renowned dance groups, Dhwani. The dancers entertaining the audiences here are Krishan Mohan and Vaswati Mishra. The entry is by invitation only.
