There would be very few Telugus across the world who can't hear that baritone in their minds whenever they want, a voice that quiz no will ever play asking for identification. It is only apt that an award for "stage presence" should be in his name.
Kinnera Art Theaters, in commemoration of the 7th death anniversary of the late actor Rao Gopala Rao, is organizing a 3-day "Rao Gopala Rao Drama Festival". All troupes desirous of participating in this festival should apply before July 25 to The Secretary, Kinnera Art Theaters, 2-2-647/153, Central Excise Colony, Hyderabad-13 for selection of their drama for performance.
The duration of the dramas will be between 90 and 120 minutes. The selection committee will choose six dramas of all those submitted for staging in this festival. Outstation teams can also participate. Teams selected for performance will be paid Rs. 4,000 each if they are outstation, and Rs. 3, 000 each if they are from the twin cities.
