Since these folks don't serve food in sachets, don't look in here if your monthly net is less than 50,000 bucks. Otherwise, here's some great ancient Indian and Hyderabadi cuisine.
After a lull for about 5 months after its Tangra Food Festival in September last year, the ITC Kakatiya Sheraton is organizing a 10-day Central Asian food festival called Daawat-e-Dum-Lashkari, a menu meant for the warriors and adapted to the local milieu/scene with Dakhni flavors.
You will get to taste delicacies which were perhaps had by the Turk and the Mughals, like Taimuri Shorba, Chattani Ghost (boneless lamb cubes marinated and baked on a piece of sange sattar stone), Kashgher Kebab (from the royal kitchen of Hyderabad), Lashkari-Dum-Ke-Karele (stuffed bitter gourds with traditional potli masala cooked on dum), Arvi-Ki-Khaliya (fried colocasia in gravy from the ramparts of the old city) and Kathal Ka Korma (jackfruit korma), which are some of the special items from among a big list on offer during the period.
The menu for desserts contains Uroosa (a 'beetroot' halwa) and Quooba (whole deseeded apricot stuffed with malai). Please contact 340-0132/339-9042 for further details.
