There are 2 ways of leaving Dakshin. Both of them feel much lighter on the wallet. So they are true when insist that you don't feel like leaving. Like after this speciality festival.
Dakshin, the south-speciality restaurant at ITC Kakatiya Sheraton, is hosting a South-West Coast Food Festival called Karavali, from 7th to 19th November. This sumptuous multi-cuisine feast is inspired from Southern communities like the Malayalis, Bunts, Goans and Kodagus, who have mastered this cooking style over years.
As most of these regions are attached to the coastline, seafood is the communities' most preferred diet. The flavour and aroma of the cuisine is lent as much by coconut, the hot byadgi chillis, cloves and peppers, as by souring agents like kodumulli, coorgi vinegar and kokum.
The menu has items like Balchao - a fiery hot Goan dish - Calicut Brinjal Curry, Lobster Puli Munchi, Prawn Oolathiyathu, Caril De Caranguesjos, Banduge Murmure, Gassi, Kummu Kari, Nitha Kore, Murungakai Ulli Theeyal, Ishtoo, appams and some coconut-flavored deserts.
Please contact the restaurant at 2310-0132 for further details.
