Ela is a charismatic woman who steps out on her own at a remarkably young age. She is given the task of inspiring young men by the leader of her group, the brilliant Indranath. Unfortunately, Indranath is forced into being as cruel as the system he is fighting against. His orders are ruthless. And he destroys many young lives.
Ela is in love with Atindra, a poet otherwise, who is also forced into such acts by Indranath to such an extent that he no longer knows whether he is a criminal or a revolutionary. In the end, Atindra is given the task of killing Ela, whom he considers the very incarnation of divinity.
