Sanjay Ashtaputre is presenting Romance With Charcoal, an exhibition of charcoal drawings, from 2nd to 12th December. A recent collection of 30 drawings is on display at the Hasta Art Gallery, ICRISAT Colony, Road No. 11, Jubilee Hills.
Sanjay, an upcoming Hindustani sitarist, will start the exhibition with a sitar recital on Raag Malkauns, which is a perfect blend of varied emotions like devotion, romance and bliss. In this series of charcoal drawings, Sanjay is enamored of the charming rainbow of human sentiments manifested in Raag Malkauns. And as the title suggests, the drawings celebrate the beauty of the rhythmic body.
