It is said that a flair for the potter's wheel is an indicator of an adaptable mind. Okay, maybe it is not said that, but it's still fun. Lots of fun!
Saptaparini is conducting a special pottery workshop for children and adults from 16th to 21st January. The participants will be taught pottery basics, clay-modelling, pottery on the potter's wheel and also hand-moulding. In clay-modelling, 3 systems - the coil, slab and pinching systems - will be taught. Participants can bake their clay creations and take them home to paint them in colors of their choice, once the workshop ends.
The pottery classes will be conducted by Jaiprakash, who has worked at the Craftworks Department of the JNTU College of Fine Arts. He currently runs a clay-crafts factory at Rajendra Nagar.
The registration fee is Rs. 750, and the timings are from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. If the participants exceed 15, then another time slot will be given, from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Please contact 6666-7707/6682-1789 for further details.
