If you're over 25 years old, you've perhaps not learnt a single new padyam in the last decade. These kids, then, are justified in showing off.
The Andhra Balananda Sangham is organizing its annual Theatre Festival, from the 19th of November to the 28th of January. Competitions will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, and are open to all.
As part of the festival, competitions will be held in reciting nursery rhymes, Bhagavad Gita shlokas, Annamacharya keertanas and neeti padyalu, and in Carnatic music, group songs, light music, spot painting, film songs, Kuchipudi dance, drama and group dance (folk) for children. There will also be a fancy dress competition. There are registration fees for events.
The entry fee for nursery rhymes, Bhagvad Gita shlokas, neeti padyalu, Carnatic music, light music, spot painting, Annamacharya keertanalu, film songs, and fancy dress compititions, is Rs 25. The fee for group songs in Rs 75 and that for Kuchipudi dance, group dance, and drama competition, is Rs 100. The students will be divided as Tiny Tots, Sub-juniors, and juniors.
