Old Telugu Melodies By Lalitha Priya Cultural Association

Here come the old and the gold, to tide over the jhintak silver. Lalitha Priya Cultural Association is presenting a nite of the "old and gold melodies" of Dr S P Balasubrahmaniam, titled Idhe Paata Prathi Nota, on 2nd September, 6 PM at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha.

Prominent twin city singers, Shyama Krishna, Sashikala, Padmavati, Swati Priya and Rajini would be rendering about 30 sweet melodious duets of Dr SP, like Idhe Paata Prathi Nota, Ye Virilo Virisina Paarijaathamo, Malli Malli Naa Naaga Malli, Idhi Theeyani Vennela Reyi, and so on. The background music orchestra is by Srikanth and Group.

Lalitha Priya Cultural Association, based at BHEL Ramachandrapuram, is founded by Shyamakrishna in 1986, but got registered as a cultural association in 2005.

Shyama Krishna is into singing of Ghantasala melodies since a longtime, jointly with other cultural associations, and this is the first time, he would be rendering his voice to SP songs.
