The NTR Smaraka Award function is being organized at Ravindra Bharathi on 6th June, by Kinnera Arts. This year, popular veteran Telugu actress Jamuna will be felicitated with the award. The program will be followed by a musical nite featuring renowned singers D A Mithra and Surekha Murthy, who will sing hits from various movies of NTR and Jamuna.
The chief guest for the function will be the Finance Minister of Andhra Pradesh, K Rosaiah. The other guests are Subbarami Reddy, Dr. C Narayana Reddy, Gummadi Venkateshwar Rao and Dr. Bhargav Rao Sarvepalli (CEO of Jahnavi Infrastructure). The events commence at 6:30pm.
Kinnera Art Theatres was started in 1977, and has since organised various programs, including musical nites, classical dances and vocals, felicitations and releases of books. It has served as a platform for many upcoming artistes, and has at the same time provided recognition and appreciation for established ones. Dr. R Prabhakar Rao, IPS, is the chairman of the association, while M Raghuram is its dedicated secretary.
