Artist In Residence Program: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM

An Artist-In-Residence program is being organized at the Kalakriti Art Gallery from 2nd to 6th June between 11am and 6pm. Renowned artists Sreejith R V & Suresh P will showcase their talent during this program.

An Artist-In-Residence is a program where the artist paints in situ in front of the crowd. Unlike other art exhibitions where previously painted portraits are put on display, this program is unique as the spectator gets to witness the artist go about his job in a highly professional manner. One of the highlights of the exhibition is the interaction of the artist with the crowd. In the due course of his work, the artist explains the nuances associated with painting, and also gives a few tips regarding the right way to stroke a brush.

Suresh P is a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Calicut University, and is currently pursuing MFA from the S N School, University of Hyderabad. His works were on display at various exhibitions, such as the State Exhibition, Kerala Lalith Kala Academy, in 2006; and the V P Suresh Kumar Memorial State exhibition in 2006.

Sreejith R V also has displayed his works at various exhibitions, such as the Kerala Lalitkala Academy State exhibition in 2007, & at the Art Gallery exhibition in 2007.
