The Muse Art Gallery, in association with the CAP Foundation, is hosting actor Kamal Kamaraju's first solo art show titled "My Name Is Minnu". It is being held at the Muse Art Gallery in the Marriott Hotel on 7 January at 6:30pm. The art will be up till 21 January.
The art features Minnu, a fictional character, designed by Kamaraju. Minnu represents a gamut of emotions that human beings go through, and Kamaraju uses this character to mirror societal patterns.
Kamal Kamaraju is a budding Telugu actor and artist with a degree, from JNTU, in architecture. His has acted in Virodhi, Aayiram Vilakku, Kalavaramaye Madilo, Avakai Biryani, Confessions Of A FilmMaker, Godavari, and Chatrapati. He has also worked on the landscaping for the resturant Moksh.
CAP Foundation is a registered trust and a workforce development initiative that links learning and livelihood for disadvantaged young people and women. Calendars featuring Kamaraju's art will be sold at the event, and all proceeds will go to the CAP Foundation.
The chief guest is Dr. Shantha Sinha, Chairperson of the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).
The entry to the event is free.
