Sutradhar is presenting the plays Sita Apharan Case and Biryani Aur Haleem on 21-22 January at the NIFT Auditorium at 7pm.

The story line of the Sita Apharan Case follows the charade of corrupt police men and a local politician. Ram and Lakshman, in their search for the lost Sita, arrive at the police station. They encounter corrupt policemen and local politicians, who fail to recognize them, and instead, accuse them of pimping and murder.

The play is a satire on the state of the modern day police-neta-criminal nexus.

The Sita Case was written by Dr. Prem Janmejai, and directed by Vinay Varma.

Biryani Aur Haleem is a comedy adaptation of "The Pie And The Tart" by Hugh Chesterman. It is about 2 beggars who are also brothers named Salim and Javed, who try to trick and swindle people.

Once, they encounter a bickering couple, Ismile Bhai and Pasha Bi, who have made biryani and haleem for the local nawab, unaware of the fact that Javed and Salim are waiting to swindle them out of the food.

Biryani Aur Haleem was adapted and directed by Deepti & Mohit.
