Many of his biggest hits are gloomy songs, but comedy is the first thing that comes to most minds when they think of Kishoreda's films. And so, if you've been wondering how anything to do with Kishore Kumar in Hyderabad is nearly always a combination of some comedy (usually in the form of skits) and some music, that's perhaps the reason. Of course, the comedy in such musical events is the quintessential Dakhni brand. And this event is no exception.
The Mirza Arts Association and the Variety Music Group are jointly presenting a musical program and a comedy show by their artists. Ahsan Nazeer, the main coordinator, avers that this will be a variety show for all ages, with the performers for the comedy being their comedian duo Shabuddin and Johnny. They will present a short skit called "Khaka" (Urdu for piece).
Ahsan is himself a singer who can imitate Kishore Kumar's vocals accurately, and will present the audiences several Kishore Kumar hits that is he famous for. Along with him will be other male and female artists who will present old Hindi hit songs and ghazals in the evening.
