Witness the celebration of sorrow, as Satyanarayana's pen discloses some hometruths.
The Himagiri Arts Theatre is presenting the Mahakavi Sri Sri Memorial Award today. This cultural organisation presents this award each year, to the progressive poets who work for the downtroddens of the society. This year, it has chosen Dr. S V Satyanaraya for the honor. He is a Professor at the Telugu Department, Osmania University.
To present this award they have Dr. C Narayana Reddy, and the President of the Vamsi Arts Theatre International, S Vamsi Rama Rao, will be presiding over this function. The other guests include the President of the Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha, V K Dikshitulu, and Additional Judge, city civil court, M Rajender.
The award ceremony will be preceeded by a musical performance by the president of the Himigiri Arts Theatre. He will be accompanied by K Srinivas, Jayashree, V Ramanakumari and Vijay Kuamr, who will be singing the exclusive hits of Mahakavi Sri Sri.
