An African story about the hard price of forgiveness, in the face of deceit. This movie, made by Mansour Sora Wade, is also known as 'The Price of Forgiveness'. It's about how the son of a wise elder/magician takes on his fathers duties after his death.
He goes out to the sea alone to challenge the spirits and get rid of a sea fog that has mysteriously been hanging, over the sea for several days. His success earns the gratitude of the fisherfolk and the heart of a pretty young woman. However, in the process, he now has to face the envy of his best friend, who was already in love with her. This is from where the story really takes character.
Made in 2001, it is a 90 minute journey filled with belief, love and treachery.
