Bishnu Dhar shows off his 'Different Strokes' on canvas. This title of his painting exhibition perfectly describes his works of art because there nothing repetetive about his works.
He has his paintings on sale at Shristi Art Gallery at prices between Rs 11,000 to Rs 58,000, as he wants his work to be 'affordable for everyone'.
Resident of Mumbai, Bishnu was born and brought up in Kolkata. The city almost always has an influence in his work be it the Durga Puja or the Rickshaw or the fine bright colours.
According to him, he likes to play with vibrant colours in order to potray the brighter side of life and still manages tomake look anything but gaudy. There is no particular theme but you can find one series of small paintings, little girls in various divine forms.
