Texas chooses to send Kuchipudi dancers instead of cowboys and horses. Their lassos might just target you.
The Kuchipudi Dance Academy is presenting a dance performance by Pranamya Suri and Pranhuti Suri. The dancer sisters are from Texas, USA, and have been trained at the Devi Kuchipudi Dance Academy. They will be performing a one-and-a-half hour program at the Ravindra Bharathi today.
They will be presenting 6 dance items, namely Mamavatu Sri Saraswathi, Nanadananda Tarangam, Koluvaithiva Ranga Sai Daruvu, Bho-Shambo In Revathi Ragam, Oka Pari Annamacharya Keerthana, and Thillana In Rageshwari Ragam.
There will also be a felicitation program for dansuese Dr. Shobha Naidu, by the chief guest for the evening, veteran actor, Dr. A K Nageshwara Rao. The function will be presided by IGP Andhra region, P N Gopinath Reddy.
