The Department Of Culture is organizing a 100-day program named Satha Roopa, at the Ghantasala Kala Vedika in the premises of Ravindra Bharathi. On this occasion, there are many programs pertaining to different classical and folk streams like harikatha, burrakatha, janapada (folk) dance and music, classical dance and music, magic, mimicry and mime.
As part of this, after the Harikatha Saptaham and Burrakatha Saptaham, it is the Janapada Saptaham from 7th May to 13th May. The Janapada (folk) programs are as below:
7th May
6:30pm - Janapada concert by Kumpati Sangeeta Rao & Party from Vijayawada
7:30pm - Janapada concert by P V Chalapati Rao & Party from Hyderabad
8th May
6:30pm - Janapada concert by Sneha Latha Murali & Party from Hyderabad
7:30pm - Janapada concert by Vaddepalli Srinivas & Party Hyderabad
9th May
6:30pm - Janapada concert by Durga Bhasker & Party from Hyderabad
7:30pm - Janapada concert by Srinivas Goud & Party from Hyderabad
10th May
6:30pm - Janapada concert by Srinivas, John and Party from Khammam
7:30pm - Janapada concert by Patri Kumar Swami & Party from Warangal
11th May
6:30pm - Janapada concert by P Prakash & Party from Medak
7:30pm - Janapada concert by Koduri Ravinder & Party from Karimnagar
12th May
6:30pm - Janapada concert by Y Balu & Party from Kadapa
7:30pm - Janapada concert by S Prabhakar & Party from Siddipet
13th May
6:30pm - Janapada concert by A Subbarao & Party from Hyderabad
7:30pm - Janapada concert by Jangi Reddy & Party from Mehboobnagar
There is no entry fee for the programs - the Department of Culture is organizing these programs to uplift the Indian traditional art forms. Please contact 2323-3672 for further details.
