IIT-Roorkee Alumni Meet: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR IIT-ROORKEE ALUMNI MEET

The IIT-Roorkee Alumni Association, Hyderabad chapter, is organizing an alumni get-together at the Indian School of Business on Saturday, 19th Feb. The director of IIT-Roorkee, Mr.Prem Vrat, will be the chief guest for the event. A breakfast and lunch session with some senior alumni of the institute based in Hyderabad will precede the function.

The Roorkee alumni chapter of Hyderabad is very active and this is second of such meets being held inless than 6 months, with the last one being held in Nov 2004. It is expected that more than 100 strong alumni members based in the city will attend the meet to discuss the initiatives taken by the alumni and monitor their progress.

Also, the launch of a website of the alumni association is also being planned which has been developed by some of the most prominent corporate leaders of the country who are based in the city. The alumni boasts of members like Mr. R.P.Singh, former City Police Commissioner, Mr. Suresh Chandra, Sec. of Irrigation, Mr. Rajeev Kumar-Director of Microsoft, Mr. Rohit Kumar, Chief of Wipro, Hyderabad just to name a few.

The event will begin at 6pm at the Indian School of Business auditorium and will also feature a cultural program aimed to help relive the moments that the alumni had at the institute.
