Horlicks, the energy drink for kids, is organizing Horlicks Wizkids 2008 for children till the XIIth standard. Horlicks Wizkids is held in all major cities nationwide. In each city it will be an inter-school fiesta, and nearly 1,75,000 participants from 1,300 schools will take part in the competitions nationwide. Face painting, fusion dance and the Horlicks Wizteam finals are the highlights. The winners will be given prizes in their own cities.
The competition, which turned five this year, witnesses immense participation from students every year. More than 30 events will be held, and these will be divided into four categories: Main Stage, Creative Zone, Challenge Zone and Masti Zone.
While Main Stage consists of events like Fusion Dance and Wiz Quiz, Creative Zone comprises Essay Writing and Face Painting. Laughter Champions, Wiz RJ Of The Year and Elocution come in the third category, while 30 Secs To Fame and Crossword will be under Masti Zone.
The students have gala time as they immerse themselves in the world of art, music, dance and drama during this event. The idea behind this event is to give an opportunity to all kinds of talent. Most of the schools focus on intellectual events like debates and quizzes, but Horlicks caters to budding chefs, writers and artists as well. The prestigious Most Talented Wizkid Of The Year award will also be declared in the evening.
