REVIEW FOR GROUP EXHIBITION OF PAINTINGS

6 artists from Goa are in town. Well, not to paint Hyderabad, but to showcase paintings of Goa. Hyderabadi artists are so much better - they'd showcase Hyderabad even in Goa.

Shrishti Art Gallery is organising a group show of figurative and abstract paintings, drawings and etchings by six artists from Goa. Eminent painters like Chaitali Morajkar, Pradeep B Naik, Santosh Morajkar, Shilpa N Mayenkar, Siddharth S Gosavi and Viraj Naik are exhibiting their works here.

There are 35 works of the artists under display. The works represent a wide variety of techniques and subjects demonstrating the depth of the creative resource that exists in Goa. They have done their paintings using water-colors on paper, and acrylic and oil on canvas. The figurative paintings and drawings depict the lifestyles of various people of both urban and rural Goa. Some of the abstract paintings also have the beautiful nature and forest lives of Goa.
