The best education that we gathered as kids was never behind desks. Summer holidays were some of the most enlightening times. Stealing mangoes, treating a deep gash, running around in circles and getting nowhere except dizzy land, splashing water and then finally giving up and lying down flat on your backs, tired. This is the kind of knowledge that takes you ahead throughout your life.
Then why the hell do we need schools? Pssssst... This is highly confidential info. Schools were built so that all the killjoys out there could satisfy their sadistic vices. So now that school's out, here's your chance to live it up. And one way to do it is by enrolling for the Grishma Utsav.
Grishma Utsav is a summer camp organized by the State Art Gallery in collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The camp is for children aged between 8 and 15, both inclusive. The camp will be conducted by eminent artistes and experts who will tutor the kids on various things.
Ikebana, puppetry, theatre workshop, folk dance, candle making, pot painting, greeting card making, gift box making, rubber nolding, mehendi, snow cotton doll making, perfume making, stained glass painting, crystal work, artificial flower making and Lamasa. On weekends there will be art appreciation classes, tours and picnics.
The kids will proudly show off what they've learnt on the last day of the camp. The fee is inclusive of the crafts material. Please contact 98480-16039 or 98485-37195 for further details.
