Ghazals & Kebabs Festival At Shilparamam

Signs that the Tourism Dept is getting smarter all the time. They seem to have finally figured out that all their events will have a packed audience if they include one magic ingredient - food. Always works. And the Ghazalotsav is no different.

The festival will play host to ten artistes from the tv show, TVS Saregama. Each day, two of these very talented ghazal singers will hold a workshop in the afternoons at 4pm. After the two-hour workshop, during which the audience will be taken through the finer points of poetry and expression in ghazals, a concert will be staged under the brilliant night sky.

And yes, there will be kebabs simmering over an open fire, as well-known singers from the city bring to life old, almost-forgotten melodies. Perfect evenings are made of this.
