The city gets a taste of the state's cultural and artistic brilliance at the crafts expo organised by the Department Of Tourism And Culture.The fair, called Gnapika, is a magnificent platform showcasing the artistic prowess of artisans from all over Andhra Pradesh.
Be prepared to be dazzled by the variegated exhibits, each a testimony to the beauty and novelty of its kind! The impeccable craftsmanship of Kondapally toys, Bidriware, Ethikoppaka toys, Cheriyal paintings, Madhavala wood carvings and lac items, will leave you in awe.
Also being featured are exquisite, world renowned handloom works like Pochampally, Kalamkari, Banjara, Venkatgiri and Mangalgiri. And just when you though it couldn't get any better, it does! There is a 50% discount on all the items on display!
The special attraction and the major crowd-puller at the expo is the display of a craft called Koyyabambaloo from Vizag. Also popular are the carpets from Warangal, and the Pochampally Ikkat work on duppattas.
