REVIEW FOR GHAZAL WORKSHOP BY USTAD...

Sutradhar & Naadbrahm are organizing a 3-day workshop on Hindustani classical music & ghazal singing, at Sutradhar, Himayathnagar.

Ustad Rajkumar Rizvi (ghazal maestro, Indian classical singer & music teacher), and Sangeet Shiromani Indrani Chatterjee Rizvi (founder of Indian Music Institute, Mumbai) are inviting passionate singers and talented students to learn forms of Hindustani classical vocal music.

In this 3-day workshop spanning 10 hours, Ustadji will teach and guide students on the basics of ghazal gayaki, as well as thumri, dadra, kajri, folk and other semi-classical genres of vocal music.

The teachers will also try to inculcate the finer aspects of singing, rendering and stage performance.

The participants of this workshop are required to have basic aptitude in and knowledge of Hindustani classical music.

You can choose between the following 2 sessions:

1. Weekend batch: December 7-9, 2012 (5:30pm - 9pm)

2. Weekday batch: December 12-14, 2012 (6:30pm - 10pm)

The fee is Rs. 5,000 per participant for each batch. Seats are limited. Registrations close on November 30, 2012
