Truth is stranger than fiction, for fiction is nothing but truth that occurs hidden from the public eye. Yet, there were some incredibly public figures, geniuses of their time and posterity, and it is they who are the subject of Midda Krishnamurthy's newly releasing book - True Stories That Shame Fiction, a book of anecdotes of great personalities.
All from Vivekananda, Buddha, Gur Nanak, Kolwalkar, Veer Sawarkar and Kabir find a mention in the thirty story collection. The book is said to be a collection of that breed of great men who achieved their greatness through nothing but hard work, and had no help from either birth, wealth or rank.
Midda Krishnamurthy was a student of Arts at the Nizam College and worked at the IGP office in Hyderabad. He is also an excellent poet who has published three books earlier - Eligy For Gandhi, Elegies and Eulogies, and Divya Geeta which was written along the lines Mohd. Iqbal's poetry. Sri Naram Krishna Rao, erstwhile Rural Development Minister, will be releasing the book, and the event is being organised by Vivekananda Sanskrita Vikasa Vrindam.
