50 kids will get a chance to get coached free by a handful of ace-chess coaches this summer, provided they act fast and enrol on Sunday morning (26th March) for the 10 K Chess Training Centre Open Chess Tournament.
Registration requires only a school ID of any sort and Rs. 100. There will be five rounds held in 5 categories, each of which will consist of children of two consecutive classes i. e class 1 and 2 form one category, as do class 3 & 4. Winners will get an international chess board and pieces, and for true-blue enthusiasts, that should be a rare treat.
All those who enrol and play, will be graded depending on their scores, and will be coached in a ten-day camp from April 21st to 30th. So what are you waiting for, grandmasters-in-the-making? Junk those 'how-to' books on chess and line-up to enrol. What's better than a little hands-on play and learning?
