This fortnight, Brand Mumbai is on display in town. Srikanth is, however, just as celebrated in the galleries of town.
Gallery Space at Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, is organising an exhibition of paintings by Srikanth Dhunde, from 1st to 12th October.
The display consists of acrylic on canvas, and abstract forms using fundamental shapes like the square, circle, triangle etc. and highlighted by the fundamental colors like blue, red and green.
The artist, Srikanth, has a degree in fine arts from the University of Bombay, and is also a BFA in Ceramics from the J J School of Art, Mumbai. He has participated in various group shows and solo exhibitions in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolhapur, Aurangabad and other places. He has received various awards for his paintings from the V V Educational Society, the All India Industrial Exhibition Hyderabad, the Government Institute Of Printing Technology, the J J School Of Art Mumbai, and Dr. C Rangarajan, the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
