For these four Hyderabadi artists, an annual get-together is more than a booze cul-de-sac. They actually get it funded.
Chitramayee, State Gallery of Fine Arts, is organising a group show of paintings by 4 Hyderabadi artists, Kartik Kumar, Prabhakar Sastry, Ganesh Chari and Shiva. The artists together are exhibiting 61 of their recent works.
Kartik Kumar has finished his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sri Venkateshwara College of Fine Arts, Madhapur, and likes abstract paintings. Shiva is a Bachelor of Fine Arts in paintings from the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, and paints semi-abstract art. Ganesh Chari and Prabhakar Sastry have both done their Masters of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Hyderabad, and they concentrate on realistic paintings.
The group exhibits its works every year as part of a get-together. Individually, they have participated in some solo shows in the city. The exhibition is on till 28th January. For further details, please contact the venue at 2311-3308/98486-66262.
