The Sri Vani Music Academy, on the occassion of Guru Purnima today, is presenting an evening of Carnatic music for the traditional music lovers. This program is being conducted to support the old and poor artists. This time, they have chosen to support the artist, A Rama Murthy of the Cuddappa district. He is a Carnatic music exponent, also proficient with the harmonium. He is currently suffering from paralysis.
The felicitation of the artist will be followed by a carnatic musical program by the students of the Sri Vani Music Academy. This academy is run by Y Srinivasulu, who has done his post-graduation in Carnatic music from the Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University. The chief guests for the evening are Nagaphani Sharma and Bella Venkaiah.
