REVIEW FOR BRAIN BEE QUIZ
How much does your brain know about...well, itself? Put it to test at the Brain Bee Quiz. The 2nd International Brain Bee Quiz is being organized right here in mana Hyderabad. It is for the students of Class 11 or the first year of Intermediate, who are either specializing in Biology, or are interested in taking up higher studies in the field of Health sciences or Biology.
The winners along with their Biology teacher will represent India at the finals of the International Brain Bee, scheduled to be held in March 2007 in the US of A, as part of the International Brain Awareness Week.
The quiz has some big names working behind the scenes to make it happen. Organized by the joint association of the NIMS, Kalajyothi, and is headed by Khadgapathi (a voluntary agency working on health sciences). The event is also promoted by the Natco Trust, DANA Alliance, Endeavor Foundation for Excellence, Society for Neuroscience and International Brain Research Organisation.
The competetion starts off with an elimination round in the form of a written exam and the winners move on to the second round which is ... duh...the quiz. Alladi Suvarna is the quiz master, and the event takes place under the guidance of Subhash Kaul. Students can also prepare for the exam from the book called 'Brain Facts' available with the organizers.
