Tonite, watch these little ballerinas revive the racy rhythm of Bharatnatyam.
The students of Shruti Laya Kendra Dance Academy are performing their Arangetram today at the Ravindra Bharathi. The students are Nikitha, and Nibetha who are 10 and 12 years old respectively.
They will be performing a few items of Margam, the traditional Bharatnatyam dance form. They are Alarippu, Jatheswaram, Varnam, Padam Javali, Thillana and Sloka. They have been trained by guru Rajeswari Sainath. The chief guest for the evening is the internationally renowned mrudangam maestro, Guru Karaikudi Mani. Justice T N C Ranga Rajan will be presiding over this function.
