REVIEW FOR BHARATANATYA ARANGETRAM OF KU...

Lord Murugan, breaking his own rules, flirts with Ku Mashantha at her arangetram.

Ku Mashantha Vishawanath, a student of Rajeshwari Sainath, will be presenting her Bharatanatyam Arangetram today, at the Ravindra Bharathi. She is 13 years old and has been trained in the Bharatanatyam dance form for the past 5 years.

She will be presenting a total of 11 dance items. Starting with the traditional Pushapanjali and Ganapathi Vandanam, she will be beseeching the Lord Vinayaka for his blessing at her first public performance. After this, she will present the Allaripu, Jathiswaram and Varnam in Shringara Bhakthi Bhava, with reference to Lord Murugan.

Telugu Javali, followed by 15 minutes of Sabha courtesy will carry her performance forward. For the final round she will be performing Devi Stuthi, Padam and Thillana, and finish her performance with a hymn in praise of universal brotherhood.

The chief guest for tonight is the District Collector, Arvind Kuamr. The other guests include Mrudhangam maestro, Guru Karai Kudi Mani Iyer; Member, Corporation Management Committee Of ITC Limited, R Srinivas; and Vice-Chairman of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, S Gopala Krishnan.
