A socio-fantasy play, which has received accolades from around the state, gently reminds us that we can still learn from Gandhiji. The play by Sarasa Navarasa aims at spreading the message, that though knowing about ones history is important, it is also important that one knows about how to live in harmony. The skit has been written by D vijay Bhaskar and directed by E Gopal Rao.
The play is called 'Bapuji Cheppina Maata'. It's a socio-fantasy satire about the way of life in the modern era - politicians at their disruptive best, and the common man at the receiving end.
It looks at the vulnerability of men with a cynical approach wherein they transform to bite the hand that feeds. Gandhi comes to life, and criticizes the shortcomings in the vision of man. He talks about why the struggle for independence was never a true success. This play has received accolades all through the state.
