It probably is a little early in the proceedings to ask MS (Subbalakshmi, for those out of touch) to move over, but some of these 85 should be on the way there. Just through with a six-week summer course in singing and music, these have no bars, only notes. And a lot of zest!
The S S Music Academy, founded in 1997, gives all those who hope, more hope. To learn music, that is, be it vocals (Carnatic, devotional or light) or instrumental. And a performance awaits all who complete the course, so they can sing away stage fright. So here's the graduation ceremony of the batch of the summer of 2001. Everyone gets on stage to perform today, either solo or in a group. And there are awards for everyone too, with special ones for 30 of the 85 that attended every single class.
