These acting performances cannot afford a retake. They are driven through sheer talent, diligence and spontaneity. No wonder the silver screen acting legends have, at one stage, been understudies in theater. When finally the day of accolades comes, the winners could not have deserved this award more.
The A P State Film Television and the Theater Development Corporation are jointly organizing the Nandi Theater Awards 2000. The plays for the preliminaries have already been selected, and those to be staged in the finals will be selected through the competitions. The selected lyrical plays and social plays are as follows:

Social Plays
Rules Oppukovu, Corruption, Malli Eppudostaru, Ippudu, Kaki Sandesam, Doshaicha Vahni, Akali Kalam, Edari Koila, Melu Kolupu, Alarasa Puttilu, Nijayathi and Varadu
