18th Annual Day Celebrations of CAOU: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR 18TH ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS...

AllGoRhytms may have been discontinued, but there are no fracases among the more erudite staff of OU. Here is them making up for the loss.

The Cultural Association of Osmania University (CAOU) is celebrating its 18th Annual Day on 28th February at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. On this occasion, awards and felicitations will be organised for various personalities from different fields, in addition to cultural programs. The awardees this year are:

D V Satyanarayana Rao, AICC Member & APCC General Secretary, will be awarded the CAOU Foundation Award for the year 2006
Seeta Harinadh, Chairman, Pochampally Co-operative Urban Bank Limited, receives the Best Excellency Award
K Shiva Shanker, PA to Principal, Science College, Osmania University, will be felicitated
Kasibhatla Narasimha Rao, Kameswari Seva Sangh, Malkajgiri, receives the Best Humanist Award

The cultural evening starts with a Bharatanatyam recital by Kumari N Radhika, followed by a Kuchipudi recital by Kumari Sowmya Dixit, a one-man show by J L Narasimham, mimicry by Kondapally Manoj Kumar, and folk songs and dances by M Srikanth. Famous playback singer Vinod Babu, along with his orchestra of musicians, will entertain the audience with some hit numbers of SPB and Ghantasala.
