Iraq is responsible for ruining friendships. No, we don't mean Bush and Blair. It's best friends Racheal and Ayat.
Short Cut is among India's premiere film clubs for short films and documentaries. Women In Cinema, a collection of short films and documentaries directed by the women directors, is the theme for this month's screening.
Stealing Innocence is a gripping portrayal of the ongoing hostilities in the Middle East, seen through the eyes of two girls - Rachel and Ayat. Rachel and Ayat are best friends, even though one is an Israeli and the other is a Palestinian. Unfortunately, events spin out of their control, testing their friendship. This is a tragedy that leaves its victims without dignity and hope. Stealing Innocence is a film trying to give a human dimension to the violence in the Middle East.
The movie has won the second-runner up for the Best Short Film Reel Women Film Festival. It has also won the Best Short Film, the Best Director, and the Best Screen-play at the International Student Film Festival.
