REVIEW FOR EXHIBITION OF ABSTRACT PAINTINGS BY PRADEEP PUTHOOR
Adding to the season of abstract paintings is another one by Pradeep Puthoor, who is displaying his latest collection of abstracts at Shrishti Art Gallery from 18th to 30th September. The works will be on display from 11am to 7pm.
A collection of 30 paintings, semi-abstract and abstract, will be showcased. Paintings have been done in oil on canvas, along with some on linen canvas. The paintings will be inaugurated by Jagdish Mittal, the renowned artist, on 18th September at 6:30pm.
Pradeep was born in 1965 in Kerala. He is a graduate from the College of Fine Arts in Trivandrum (1988). He has been a recipient of the prestigious Jackson Pollock Krasner Foundation Fellowship For Painting from New York (2003), the British Royal Overseas League’s Overseas Award for painting from London (1997), a Lalit Kala Akademi National award (1992) an Akademi State award (2002) for painting, and a Senior Research Fellowship for painting from the Human Resource Development Board of the Government of India (2008- 2010).
