Daira Center For Arts And Culture is hosting an exhibition of paintings by Manoj Kachangal, from the 12th September to the 3rd October. The exhibition is on from 11am to 7pm daily.
The exhibition features about 30 abstract paintings in oil and acrylics on canvas. Manoj, the artist, was born in 1979, and pursued his Masters in Fine Arts (Painting) from the Government Institute Of Fine Arts (Indore).
He has participated in several solo and group exhibitions, including Gallery Pioneer (New Delhi), The Doors Of Perception at Visual Arts Gallery (New Delhi), In Search Of The Abyss at Mon Art Gallerie (Kolkata), Antaryatra presented by Marvel Art Gallery at Nehru Centre (Mumbai), Contemporary Indian Art a Munich at Galerie Muller & Plate (Munich, Germany), Millennium Turks at Hotel Trident Hilton (Gurgaon).
He also participated in the All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS) State Exhibition at Kala Parishad (Bhopal) in 2002, and the Ravi Jain Memorial Exhibition at Dhoomimal Art Gallery (New Delhi). Manoj was also awarded the Meera Gupta Merit Scholarship (Indore), the Raza Award by Madhya Pradesh Kala Parishad, and a bronze medal at the 7th All India Art Exhibition in Gwalior in 1999.
