This 45-minute comedy of errors is about a typical middle class couple Sachin and Kuki; their deaf & ailing cook Goongaram; Sachin's boss Sharma; and two imposters. Kuki loses her expensive diamond ring just before leaving for Nagpur. Sachin suspects Goongaram of stealing it. In the meantime, Sharma decides to turn Casanova for a day, and cons Sachin into the rendezvous. Cashing in on Kuki's absence, they decide to have some "real" fun.
That's when the two imposters enter the scene, and whom Sharma mistakes to be a doctor and his compounder who have come to treat the ailing cook. Sachin thinks they are Sharma's "colorful contacts". Meanwhile, Goongaram finds the ring, and then begins the merry-go-round, as the ring starts passing into each other's pockets. As if this confusion was not enough, Kuki misses her flight and returns to spoil the party. But where is the ring? Who is the real culprit? Watch the play to find out the answers and have a gala time, as it will make you laugh your heart's content.
The play is a culmination of the 2-month long acting workshop, Pratibimb 2008, and is directed by Prof. Bhaskar Shewalkar and Vinay Varma, who also conducted the workshop.
Entry is by donor passes of Rs. 50 each, available at Sutradhar and Saptaparni. Please contact Vinay Varma at 98480-52541 or Saptaparni at 6682-1789 or B S Narayan at 98663-03178 for further details.
