There's more than just dance happening this Diwali night at Shilparamam - there's singing too. And again, you really should be home.
Shilparamam is hosting a vocal concert by Padmaja Valli on 21st October. Padmaja will be accompanied by Nageshwar Rao on the violin, Subramanyam on mridangam and Lalitha Raghavan as a support singer.
Padmaja Valli learnt music initially from her mother Manga Tayaru, and later on from Datta Subba Rao and Sriram Murthy. She also learnt veena from Emani Shankara Sastry. She is a MA in music from the Andhra University, and also a MA in Sanskrit from the Banaras University. She worked with the TTD Annamacharya Project for sometime, and currently teaches Carnatic vocals to private students. She is also an active member of the Ahobila Math and Nanda Bharathi.
