Here's a person of the DOT who you'd actually enjoy listening to! Dr. Kalluri Murali Krishna is an ITS officer, but singing about the Lord, he's making up for it at the 155th Aaradhana festival of Sadguru Sri Thyagaraja Swami.
Thyagaraja, a great saint and an ardent devotee of Rama, composed numerous kritis and dedicated them to the Lord. Each of his kritis, embellished with meaningful works and melodious swaras, has captivated scores of people.
Every year, homage is paid to the saint through the annual Thyagaraja aradhana held at his birthplace Thiruvaiyuru in Tamil Nadu and at other parts of the country, in January and February.
This year, the 155th Aaradhana festival of Sadguru Sri Thyagaraja Swami is being celebrated at the Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha for a 9-day period. The program schedule on the third day is as follows:
